CORKS & FORKS - A Wine Tasting and Silent Auction at the Reserve in Birmingham

The event which will feature 11 wine distributors and over 70 different wines ranging from local Michigan wines to California, France, Chile, and Argentina.
Date: Saturday, November 12, 2011
Time: 7PM - 10PM (VIP Room 5:30PM-‐7:00PM)
Location: The Reserve at Big Rock Chop House, Birmingham, MI
Attendance: 300
Audience: Professionals, mostly late 30's - 50's
Activities: Wine tasting from Michigan and around the world, strolling dinner, silent auction.
Silent Auction Throughout the evening, guests may bid on a variety of silent auction items donated to Winning Futures. Packages will range from baskets of gift certificates and products to a weekend in Key West. Donations are needed from local retailers to support the silent auction. The goal is to raise $5,000, with part of the proceeds going towards the iMatter for Kids / Winning Futures mentoring program at Pierce Elementary School in Birmingham.

Portion of funds raised will go toward implementing our pilot program in the Fall 2011 at Pierce Elementary in Birmingham. iMatter For Kids and Winning Futures will implement an after-school mentoring program for 4th and 5th grade students. This pilot program for 24 students will engage adult mentors from the community to empower students to develop into strong, caring lead- ers and to know they matter. Parents will also attend family workshops with their children.
